Profile

Jessica was born in Wolfsburg, Germany, in 1976.
After finishing Grammar School she wanted to become a student at the art academy but destiny decided to send her on a trip to Portugal in 1996, where she now lives and works as an artist.

Besides painting Jessica loves to design everything that runs through her fingers and she allows her creativity to flow through everything that surrounds her, including designing her own stuffed animals collection, book covers, houses, gardens, murals and more.

Jessica also loves languages and writing. As a side activity she studied languages at the University of Hamburg for one year and she speaks German, English, Portuguese and a little Dutch. She recently started to learn Italian.

She also studied "Health and Sport Training" for two years and hold various diplomas in that field.
Jessica had gained experiences in working as a painter, translator, sport and health coach, courier, children hostess and as a doctor`s receptionist in one of the leading hotels of the world.

Over the last few years Jessica turned away from these multi-activities and focused on her spiritual growth which is reflected by her paintings.
She now travels between Europe and the USA most of the time and shares a studio in Houston, Texas with her boyfriend and artist Anthony Butkovich.

Jessica`s abstract acrylic paintings invite the observer on a journey deep within themselves.
She loves to play with the full abundance of colors, materials and texture in her paintings. Through sand, wax, modeling paste and other materials she creates a vivid shot of the moment on canvas, which may hold the story of a whole lifetime and may make the observer wonder about concepts like future and past, impression and expression, forms and things, moods and feelings
The complex simplicity of her paintings contains much spiritual teachings which are delivered to the observer by energetic codes that may trigger and activate sleeping dna patterns, forgotten memories or well hidden desires of the soul.
Every painting offers much healing energy that expands from the canvas in a gentle and loving way, yet carries the observer vividly to the other realms and his or her own safe space of free imagination.
